NITRO injects an extra pulse of power during the first 0.5 seconds after pressing the footswitch. Yes, it can be activated or deactivated on demand at any moment.
Just push the on top of the dial knob to get access to the menu, then navigate to the NITRO setup and finally choose between Activated or Deactivated.

This preference setting is stored in memory, so you don’t have to come back to re-configure it every time you switch your power supply on.

There are 4 setup memories that can be accessed sequentially by pressing the pushbutton. When the 4th memory is reached, the next pushbutton press will wrap to memory 1, and so on.

This is done automatically. Whenever you change the output voltage by spinning the dial knob, the new setting will be automatically recorded to the current memory in use. The memory settings will be remembered by the Power Supply even if disconnected from the wall adapter.

Yes, it does. The Session run-timer will start counting on after the power supply is switched on, no matter if the tattoo machine is running or not.

You can PAUSE the counting of the Stopwatch and RESUME it again at any time. This can be done by pressing and holding the dial knob (shortcut), or by accessing the Stopwatch menu too. While the run-timer is in pause, the count will blink on the display.

To reset the run-timer just access the run-timer menu by pressing the knob dial and select RESET.

Your machine voltage will be always the same no matter which country you are in.

Yes, you can work without footswitch.

By pressing and holding the pushbutton the output will turn on permanently until the pushbutton is again press & hold.

While in continuous mode it is also possible to add a footswitch too, so the output can be turned ON or OFF by momentary press of the footswitch (no need to maintain the footswitch pressed).

When a power supply has a low output capability it will dip momentarily when you pressure your needle to the skin, which it will make you feel like a small fluctuation of the speed. With a higher power output capability, you won’t feel that fluctuation.

It is important to note that a poor quality clipcord could also affect this feeling of fluctuations, so it is important to invest in a good cable.

Musotoku Machete has 3 built-in protections to avoid dangerous overcurrent events in your equipment. These safety protections are running 1,000 times per second.

These protections will prevent any harm to your machine in the event of a short circuit or mechanic jam, but they will also detect defects in your clipcord cable (the most usual problem).

Coil machines are power-hungry machines, very demanding. On the other side, we find rotary machines that are much more efficient, and excepting the start-up moment in which they need a high peak of power, they normally require a modest amount of power.

The MUSOTOKU power supply was designed to cover both kinds of machines, but more focused on those high-demanding coil machines. We took that path because we found that many tattoo artists couldn’t find a decent tattoo power supply capable of this amount of power for their machines, so it was usual to see them rely on laboratory power supplies.

On high current output power supplies it is common to account for the I.R drop along the cable, so for this reason when you measure the output of USB-C power adapters that are rated over 2A you will find that they are 5.5V instead of 5V. If you are interested in digging more into this you will find plenty of information in this interesting article.
As the MUSOTOKU power supply is rated to 5A we had to consider the I.R drop and increase the output drive in the range where the coil machines use to work.

Finally, keep in mind that the MUSOTOKU power supply has 3 different types of output protection that are running continuously, so in the case that your machine is not working in its safe state the power supply will let you know and safely stop the output.

Allow 24h for processing your order, it usually takes 2 to 5 business days to reach anywhere in the world.

After hundreds of shipments, our statistics show that Spain is usually next day delivered and the USA/Canada is around 2-3 days.

We ship our everything from our workshop in beautiful Madrid, Spain.

We ship from Spain, so if you are based in the European Union there are for sure no custom duties to be paid.

If you are based outside the European Union it might be possible that your country would charge you with some taxes. Please, note that this cost is to be paid upon reception of the package and Musotoku does not have any control or responsibility for these taxes.

All of our products are covered by the lega EU warranty of 2 years that covers defects on components and manufacturing (EU directive 2019/771).

¿How the 2019/771 EU directive works?

The EU directive makes a differentiation between the first and second year after the purchase.

• 1st year: the defect it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless it is found that the unit was damaged by customer.
• 2nd year: the buyer needs to demonstrate that the defect existed at the time of delivery. In this case the warranty is not applicable unless demonstration is provided by the customer.
